We found significant variability in account accuracy for supposed professional investors.

SMA measures how far sentiment is from the norm for 8,000 US equities, from tweets by 400,000 people identified as financial professionals, active traders or market influencers.
Given the mass popularity of social media, many equity market participants are jumping on the bandwagon. But in the case of hedge funds and other trading firms, it is alpha that drives the interest, not entertainment.
